Dr. Rui Yue

BioGRAPHY

Dr. Rui Yue is the Professor of Tongji University, Department Chair of Molecular and Cell Biology, and Vice Dean of the School of Life Sciences and Technology. Dr. Yue graduated from Chu Kechen Honors College of Zhejiang University with a B.S. degree in Bioengineering (2005). He pursued his PhD degree in cell biology at Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS, with Prof. Gang Pei. After completing PhD (2011), he conducted postdoctoral research as a Damon Runyon Fellow with Prof. Sean Morrison at UT Southwestern Medical Center (2011-2016). Dr. Yue is interested in dissecting the mechanisms by which skeletal stem cells and hematopoietic stem cells interact in the bone marrow microenvironment, as well as their clinical applications in regenerative medicine. Dr. Yue is a former Ray Wu Prize winner (2010) and a board member of the Ray Wu Memorial Fund.
